Dear Friends in Christ,
As you are well aware, this November’s election will have far reaching implications for our nation and, in many ways, for all of us as individuals. The winner of this year’s election could conceivably appoint as many as three or more Supreme Court Justices. As we have seen these past few years, the President of the United States can have a substantial influence on our culture and on world affairs. These are just a few examples of how it can be a duty and a calling for Christians to pray and to vote.
And yet, it has been said that at the last election, four years ago, more than 3 million Christians just DIDN’T VOTE.
What can I do?
For these reasons and others, we are urging you to attend Good Shepherd’s 2016 Election Prayer Night. The Prayer Night will be held at 7:00pm, this coming Wednesday evening, October 26th at Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church in Cokato, MN.
Our normal Wednesday night schedule will be slightly adjusted.
- Bible Study will begin at 6:00 pm instead of 6:30.
- Our prayer time will run from 7:00 pm to about 8:00pm
- Choir will begin at 8:00 pm.
Please let others know, and please, please join us in praying for our nation this Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7:00 pm.
The Good Shepherd Staff.
